Summary:
Jose came to the U.S. from Mexico and wants to become an auto mechanic. He would like to meet a mechanic who can talk to him about the profession – anything from a one-time meeting to an ongoing mentorship.
He has basic knowledge of car maintenance (changing oil, tires, battery, etc.). He is enrolling in an automotive course at Skyline College.
If a volunteer is willing, he’d be glad to provide any type of assistance he can at an auto shop to gain the experience of the work environment.

Jose is friendly and currently works full-time in construction. He also takes advanced ESL classes at night to improve his English fluency.
